Peak District Yoga & Nutrition Retreat
27th of February - 2nd of March 2026
The Cattle Shed, Peak District, Derbyshire
Check-in: 5pm
Check out: 10am
Priced: £625 double occupancy/ £925 single occupancy
Join us for a weekend escape in the stunning Peak District, where the only decisions you’ll need to make are whether to nap before or after your herbal tea.
With over 6 years of retreat-hosting experience (and plenty of taste-testing along the way), we’ve created the kind of weekend we’d genuinely love to attend: relaxed, nourishing and very wholesome.
✨Expect standout seasonal vegetarian food, organic, locally sourced, and so good you’ll be asking for the recipes.
⭐️ Flow through gentle yoga sessions designed to suit every body.
💥Cosy up by open fires, and share good conversations (and maybe a belly laugh or two) with lovely like-minded folk.
This isn’t about becoming your “best self”; it’s about giving that brilliant self a bit of breathing space.
Come as you are, leave feeling rested, recharged and re-nourished.
Your home for the weekend
Tucked away in the rolling hills of the Peak District National Park, The Cattle Shed is a beautifully converted barn with all the cosy, luxurious touches you could want. Think open-plan spaces, a crackling log fire to curl up beside, and sweeping countryside views perfect for watching the sunset with a mug of something warm in hand.
You’ll be snoozing in a gorgeous room with either a kingsize or twin bed, complete with your own ensuite bathroom.
Most rooms are twin occupancy, but don’t worry, 75% of guests attend solo. If you ask us, it’s one of the best ways to meet new, like-minded pals.
Fancy bringing your bestie along? Even better.
And if you’d prefer your own little sanctuary, we’ve got a few single rooms available too.
It’s your weekend, your way.

Debs
I never set out to become a yoga teacher.
In fact, if you’d met me a few years ago — glass of wine in one hand, eyeliner in the other, racing between costume fittings on a film set — you’d have probably laughed at the idea too.
But life has a funny way of unrolling the mat for you when you least expect it.
I’ve dipped in and out of yoga since university — sometimes for the stretch, sometimes for the sanity. Over time, the practice became less about perfect poses and more about showing up, breathing, and finding stillness in the chaos. Eventually, curiosity pulled me deeper. No grand epiphany, no spiritual lightning bolt — just a quiet calling to learn more. One training led to another, and suddenly I was teaching… and loving it.
Now, I’m a qualified Yoga Alliance instructor with training in classical Sivananda yoga (Kerala, India), partner and kids yoga with Rainbow Kids (280hr), and pre/postnatal yoga with Birthlight UK. And yes, I still enjoy wine, rarely chant in public, and think laughing during class is highly underrated.
For me, yoga is less about touching your toes and more about coming back to yourself, wherever, however, and whoever you are that day.
No judgement. No pressure. Just breath, movement, and maybe a smile or two along the way.

I became a nutritionist for one simple reason: I really love food. Proper food.
The kind that tastes amazing and also happens to make us feel good from the inside out.
I was also more than a little fed up with all the nonsense floating around in the diet and wellness world - fads, quick fixes, and confusing advice everywhere you turn.
My approach is friendly, lighthearted and totally free from food guilt. No preaching, no perfection, just realistic, down-to-earth advice that actually fits into real life. It’s all about good, honest ingredients, local where possible, always tasty, and packed with the kind of stuff our bodies will thank us for.
No weird powders. No “eat-this-not-that” rules. Just real food, made simple.
Most of what I do is about helping individuals feel better through food.
Whether that’s making tweaks to support energy, digestion, or hormones, or adding in clever supplements or testing when it’s needed.
I also run talks that bust common nutrition myths (with a few terrible jokes thrown in for good measure) and share what the latest science actually says about how to feel good through food.
In the summer, you might spot me doing cookery demos at food and drink festivals, and I’m often writing recipes or articles for newspapers and magazines too.
My whole mission is pretty simple: nutrition shouldn’t be about restriction, it should be about adding more goodness in.
And if you’re wondering, yes, I’m fully qualified, with a Master’s in Clinical Nutrition, 9+ years of clinical experience, and accreditations with BANT and CNHC. Basically: I know my stuff, but I’ll always keep it real.
We set out to create the kind of retreat that we would want to attend.
A retreat that is relaxed, where you can enjoy a glass of wine (if it’s your thing) and where snacks are not banned.
A long weekend of relaxation, nutritious food and learning where you can do as little or as much as you wish.
There is a timetable of carefully curated activities but you are free to switch morning yoga for a lie-in if that’s what you’d prefer. It’s a long weekend that is yours to enjoy without pressure.

The Peak District retreat has been running for 6 years now, so here is a little overview of what others have said:
“The retreat was an amazing experience hosted by fantastic ladies that make you feel right at home. A perfect weekend to reset, relax and meet like-minded people.”
“A wonderful retreat which exceeded all expectations. The most delicious food, paired with great Yoga practice.
Thank you”
“I booked the retreat to escape the routine of being at home. I was looking forward to quality me time. I went with the intention of being happy with a class of yoga , not having to cook and time to read. I left feeling energised having eaten gorgeous nutritious food. I felt rested after so many yoga and meditation sessions. I felt that I had been away for longer than a weekend. I never read a book! I was too busy chatting, eating, enjoying yoga, walking in the beautiful countryside, drinking and catching up on much-needed sleep.”
Frequently asked questions
-
No, not at all. In fact, we frequently welcome first-timers that have never even done yoga before.
Debs’ style of yoga prioritises your own individual needs.
It’s less about achieving the perfect pose and more about being present in the class, honouring what your body can do and progressing according to your own needs.
If you are ace at yoga, that’s totally cool, but it’s not a prerequisite.
We welcome yogis of all abilities. -
We hear you but let us reassure you that many are in the same boat.
In fact, over half of retreat attendees attend on their own.
Our retreats attract like-minded individuals so you’ll probably just end up making new friends. -
There are a couple of options:
1. You can opt for a single occupancy room. It costs a bit more but guarantees you an ensuite room with a king-size bed.
2. You can share a twin ensuite room. Either bring a buddy to share with or if you are travelling alone then we’ll do our best to match you with someone of a similar age and interests (aka we’ll find you a new friend). -
Not in the slightest.
We created a timetable of twice-daily yoga and nutrition workshops but you can do as much or as little as you wish.
We want you to have a weekend for you so if you’d rather have a lie-in than wake up for morning yoga then we are totally cool with this. -
Yes, but please give us sufficient notice.
Eva works closely with local, organic farms and some artisan producers to curate a menu that focuses on seasonal, organic, high-quality produce.
Menus are usually put together 4 weeks prior to the retreat date so it’s essential that we know your dietary preferences in advance.
Please email eva@wholefoodwarrior.co.uk if you have specific allergies or dietary preferences. -
The menu is designed and cooked by Eva.
She is a nutritionist but also has tastebuds and enjoys food so you can expect perfectly balanced meals but with tonnes of flavour.
The menu is vegetarian and gluten-free and would typically entail:
- A pre-yoga morning smoothie
- A breakfast with at least 2 breakfast items. Typically a frittata and nourish bowl or a quinoa brunch bowl and a yogurt with fruit, nuts & seeds.
- Lunch is all about variety. Sharing salads and flavoursome sides dominate.
- Dinner is a 3-course affair. You can expect a nutritious starter, a seasonal main course and a healthy dessert.
Here is what one of the dinners looked like during the November 2022 retreat:
Starter: burrata - cucumber water - tomato - lacto-fermented wild garlic seed
Main: pan-roasted celeriac - charred red pepper sauce - seasonal greens - crispy anya potato
Dessert: silky chocolate tart -
Our beautiful venue is accessible by both car and train.
There is plenty of parking available.
Alternatively, connecting trains to Grindleford Station depart from both Sheffield and Manchester once an hour.
If you have any other questions then please feel free to email us on eva@wholefoodwarrior.co.uk
We hope to see you at a retreat soon.
