Life is about finding your balance.
My philosophy is simple: treat others as you would hope to be treated; A smile costs nothing; Show up to the mat and practice as often as possible without judgement of yourself or others; Live for today as tomorrow is never guaranteed; and don’t forget to have fun along the way! Simple. My former life was as a costume designer for film and television and whilst I had some amazing jobs and incredible experiences something just seemed missing for me.
Having practiced yoga since university on and off I decided to embark on increasing my own knowledge and understanding of the practice. Not really sure if I would like to teach or not. There was never a lightning bolt moment. However, I am now a registered yoga alliance teacher holding qualifications with the Sivananda Vendata, Kerela, India (200hours), 280hr kids and partner yoga training with Rainbow Kids, and prenatal and post-natal yoga certificates with Birthright UK. I absolutely love teaching.
Eva
I’m a clinical nutritionist (MSc, DipION, mBANT, CNHC) with a real love for good food that just happens to be good for you.
Over the past nine years, I’ve been helping people feel their best through food. Whether it’s in my nutrition clinic, at food festivals, or through talks and retreats, my goal is always the same: to make healthy eating simple, enjoyable, and full of flavour.
I believe that looking after your health doesn’t mean cutting things out or following strict diets. It’s about adding in more nourishing, real foods; meals that taste great and support your body at the same time.
You may have seen me doing cookery demos at places like the BBC Good Food Show or sharing tips in the media (The Times & The Telegraph), but what I love most is connecting with people in relaxed spaces like this, sharing ideas, trying delicious food, and inspiring small changes that make a big difference.
The location
Located in West Bridgeford, Nottingham, our Yoga & Nutrition brunch is hosted at the super cool converted church, Destination 105.
Think dark interiors, celestial lighting and comfy booths for lazy brunching.
It’s the perfect mix of functional yoga areas and a spacious, mezzanine dining space.
Debs was poorly photoshopped onto this image but we just wanted to give you an idea of the space.
Here are a few of your common questions answered. If you have any others then please send Eva an email on eva@wholefoodwarrior.co.uk
-
Not at all. Debs is a dab hand at adapting the yoga practice to all abilities.
We often welcome both first timers and seasoned yogis.
Come as you are. We are happy to host you. -
Yes, totally.
These events attract likeminded people so the worst that’ll happen is you leave with new friends. -
Your morning will start with a pre-yoga smoothie and a few little snacks.
The brunch itself will be a varied fare focusing on nutrients. The idea is that you can build an epic brunch bowl based on foods you enjoy and perhaps try a few new items.
The food served will be veggie and gluten free as standard.
We can cater for most food allergies/ preferences but please do make us aware of your dietary requirements before the event.
You can do this by emailing eva@wholefoodwarrior.co.uk -
The yoga venue is fully accessible, however, the brunch space can only accessed via a steep set of stairs.
If you have specific accessibility requirement then please email Eva via eva@wholefoodwarrior.co.uk before making a booking. -
Destination 105 can be accessed by car and bus, or a combination of train and bus.
Buses 11, 11a and 11c run from Nottingham city centre and stop outside the front door of our venue. -
The venue doesn’t have dedicated parking but there is free street parking on the surrounding streets.
