Nutrition Principles for Healthy Ageing

Let me start with a little-known fact that is nothing short of a major crisis. 
Our healthy life expectancy, aka the age we can expect to live to in good health, is tumbling. 
Sure, we will likely live to circa 82/83 but our healthy life expectancy now stands at a mere 62/63. (+/- a few years depending on where you may live, it’s a bit less up North and a bit longer if you are located in the South of the country.)
With the current retirement age set at 66, the low healthy life expectancy means working for at least 4 years with a chronic condition. It means spending the vast majority of retirement with multiple illnesses.
I don't know about you, but personally, I didn't sign up for this. 

Luckily, I know a great deal about the science behind healthy ageing so here is some help in the form of a super duper talk on the main nutrition & lifestyle principles that may help us live better for longer.
